    Hot Space was Queen's attempt at something new. Unfortunately, many Americans did not climb on board with Queen for the adventure of Hot Space. Their loss, and a bit of a loss for Queen /5().

    While the first half of "Hot Space is almost exclusively disco-dance-funk-groove oriented music, the second half is more what some fans might have expected from Queen coming after "The Game": a mixture of rock and pop as only Queen can do it. Brian May's guitar kicks off "Put Out The Fire," the album's lone truly rocking cut/5(40).
